Today has been a mixed day for me. Everyone that’s serious about self development will have bad days. By that I mean when all the things you have learned just dont seem to work. What does it mean? It means that you are on the right path. Remember your subconscious wants you to be safe so you do things by habit. When you are working on changing your habits the subconscious rebels. What do you do? Acknowledge it and move on! Literally….Move! Remember action changes your state of mind and body. I got out of the house, had breakfast (with a discount for Veterans Day) and then I went to get some supplies I need for a course I am taking. By the time I got back to my house I was back in my right frame of mind. Me and my roommate had wonderful dinners for free thanks to Applebees! Enjoy the Digest and have a wonderful day tomorrow! Jack of Hearts: People Want Feelings, But They Already Have Them
People think they want things, but they actually want the feelings those things will get them. Choose something you desire (a thing, an experience, a feeling, a change etc). Now ask “What would that give me that I wouldn’t otherwise have?” Then ask the question again, about that. For example: “I want a new job.” What would that give me that I wouldn’t otherwise have? “More money.” What would [more money] give me that I wouldn’t otherwise have? “Freedom!” Ask it several times and you’ll end up at a feeling (often something like freedom, security, peace or love). This is the feeling you’ll feel when you’ve got what you want. Start feeling it now, and what you want will come even more easily and enjoyably.

3 of Clubs: Put Off Procrastination
Procrastination comes in 2 flavors: “I’m afraid to…” and “I can’t be bothered…” When a person procrastinates, they halt progress and miss out on all the things they would be learning by taking action. If you have to put something off, delay procrastination! Whenever you feel the urge to procrastinate, take action towards your goals immediately. As you begin to complete the tasks you’d previously postponed, reward yourself. Soon you’ll have replaced the procrastination-habit with a positive action-habit and the rewards you discover in terms of energy and results will be enormous.
